This site is the result of my fascination with Charles Band’s Full Moon label and its various incarnations. I started watching Full Moon movies in 2001/2002 and have been hooked ever since. To me, Full Moon movies all carry a certain vibe and deliver a production value that becomes more familiar, approachable and enjoyable with each film watched. For every great movie like Castle Freak or Dead and Rotting there is a total dud like Dead Man’s Hand or Petrified and it allows you, as the viewer, to come in to each movie with an open mind.
Regardless of the technical or functional deficiencies some Full Moon movies bring to the table all of them are, at the very least, fun and entertaining to watch.
In reading the reviews it may seem like I am being especially hard on some of them but there’s a certain precedent Full Moon set with the Subspecies series, earlier Puppet Master titles and other releases like Castle Freak that some of the movies just don’t live up to. It’s been established what Full Moon is capable of and sometimes, things just don’t work out.
