Whoa man, I hate this movie. This was reviewed before on our “lost” incarnation but I figured I would be nice and give it a second go ’round. After hearing about the actual budget for this movie ($15,000) I decided to look at this from a different perspective and the results were still the same.
Epic fail.
Everything about this movie is bad except for the actual Darkwalker costume which apparently is where most of the money went for this – it’s pretty ornate and cool.
There are a few bright spots in this movie – Reef, the stereotypical stoner for one. He’s pretty funny and legitimately looks blifted out of his mind. Keep it real, Reef..Keep it real. The sheriff is absolutely hilarious and is responsible for one of the funniest lines I have ever heard in b horror (paraphrasing) – “I once knew a man who got so intoxicated he cut his own head off…with a lawn mower. HA! The direction here is pretty good as well and that’s one thing I looked past in my disgust while watching this the first time.
If you are a glutton for punishment, pick up a copy of this. You’ll be sorry you did, believe’at.
